INGREDIENTS FOR A BETTER FUTURE
BOP INNOVATION and Louise Koch worked together with the team in Danisco A/S on the pilot project of developing new ingredients and business models to improve nutrition and income for low income communities in India.
Together with the team, we worked in the 'fuzzy front end' by mapping the eco-system and value chains of food and food production in India. In the exploration journey we met with a range of people from academia, business, NGO, governmental sector etc. to get insight and perspectives from different angles, and we visited rural villages and markets to get insight in needs, every day life, and aspirations.
The insights were condensed in Innovation Horizons to frame the ongoing innovation process and the next round of deep research and co-creation with BOP communities and other partners and stakeholders. This project was also the case in the NFBi research project about people centred innovation with base of the pyramid.
